The organization's programs focus on conserving wildlife, restoring habitat and waterways, expanding outdoor opportunities, connecting children with nature, and addressing the causes and consequences of climate change. To support our mission, we seek a highly motivated Campaigns Coordinator to join our National Advocacy Center in Washington, DC.

The National Wildlife Federation's Campaigns Coordinator works to enact successful field and mobilization campaigns to meet NWF's priority advocacy goals. The Coordinator will works with the National Campaigns Manager to design and develop cutting edge systems to build a vibrant conservation movement, deliver strategic campaigns, expand organizational capacity, and maximize resources. This role will work across the organization's federal priority campaigns engaging with its 51 state and territory affiliate organizations around the country.

 Duties of this role include:  

  • Campaign Support around NWF federal priority campaigns which includes, but is not limited to:
    • Logistical support in organizing meetings, fly-ins and other events including arranging travel, managing expense reimbursement; assisting with office events, or activities as requested;
    • Cultivating an online hub of up-to-date field resources including fact-sheets, communications guidance, social media guidance, and planning documents;
    • Scheduling meetings and calls, managing list-serves, taking notes, and tracking action-items from meetings;
    • Creating and distributing field materials including postcards, banners, stickers or other materials for use in conducting outreach on campaigns;
    • Working closely with online and campaigns teams to assist in the creation of social media graphics, blogs, or other shareable content related to our campaign priorities;
    • Other organizational or programmatic support tasks as assigned;
  • Campaign Planning and Development:
    • Co-create training and orientation materials for field consultants and partner organizations on our campaigns;
    • Assist in the training of field consultants and partners in organizing and advocacy skills;
    • Working with the National Campaigns Team to accomplish and expand current campaigns, support in the planning of future campaigns;
    • Managing the creation and implementation of specific campaign tactics;
  •  Tracking and accountability for organizing team:
    • Managing internal tracking of field organizing work using the QuickBase system;
    • Curating comprehensive field reports for internal distribution, reporting to funders, and sharing with White House and Hill staff;
    • Managing the campaigns team contract database and supporting field leads to ensure accountability on all campaigns;


  • BA or BS, with strong course work or work experience in public policy, political science, or grassroots campaigns
  •  Minimum of two years campaign or advocacy experience
  • Experience working on a campaign, grassroots organizing
  • Experience using social media tools, online organizing
  •  Excellent organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a team and also follow through on assigned tasks independently
  • Good multi-tasking and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines; ability to meet unanticipated needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive; willingness to master NWF's activist and Congressional database software and systems.
  • HTML, Photoshop, and/or Web Content Management experience a plus!

There will be minimal travel in this role.
