To support our mission, we seek a highly motivated Digital Analyst to join our team in Reston, VA.

This position will be responsible for developing robust analysis and actionable insights in digital engagement and fundraising campaigns, including our email, social media, website, advertising, and mobile messaging programs. S/he will serve as the primary point of data-driven decision making that supports how we engage and mobilize our millions of members, activists, and supporters online.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Engagement, the Digital Analyst will administer and oversee multiple digital marketing and analysis projects, data cleansing and manipulation, statistical reporting and analysis, and list management. This position is responsible for creating and producing reports and other analytical tools to measure and drive the department's efficiency, quality and performance, maintaining database integrity, and continuously supporting the department's focus on being a data-driven, efficient business operation.

The Digital Analyst will work closely with the Digital Engagement team and other Analysts in the Department of Philanthropy to support data operations and campaign performance reporting critical to ensuring a healthy Digital Engagement enterprise.

In this role you will:

  • In coordination with the Director of Digital Engagement, oversee the daily operations critical to ensuring the growth and longer term stability of the Federation's Digital enterprise.
  • Track, analyze, optimize advertising, website, social media, email, and SMS programs.
  • Standardize reporting and dashboards that reflect organizational goals and communicate and/or visualize results for stakeholders and organizational leaders.
  • Develop and manage testing priorities and roadmap in consultation with the Director of Digital Engagement and digital stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data tracking systems and processes across the organization and implement those improvements as needed.
  • Manage activist and donor acquisition efforts by overseeing budget, optimizing conversions, tracking long-term value and maintaining projections.
  • Develop and analyze key marketing metrics to ensure campaigns are meeting engagement, retention, and revenue goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Information Science, or related fields required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a digital or technology role with a focus on analytics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment within a growing, diverse team.
  • Experience building campaigns, analyzing key marketing metrics, and developing strategy for prospect and existing digital marketing programs.
  • Organized operator with strong interpersonal skills to work efficiently and build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners.
  • Experience managing data or analytics for a large campaign or non-profit organization.
  • Expert knowledge and skills in a variety of web analytics software and other tracking and reporting systems. Knowledge of and experience implementing best practices re: website analysis.
  • Expertise in clearly and simply communicating findings for complex programs to non-technical audiences and cross-functional teams.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL.
  • Exceptional hands-on experience managing analytics for a mass email program.
  • Expertise with at least one web optimization toolset such as Optimizely.
  • Expert knowledge of and skill using Excel and Access.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
